AM335X Memory Interface Recommendations

Hi,

We have done our design interfacing the AM335X with MT47H128M16RT-25E:C DDR2 memory (2GB, 128M X16) from Micron based on the Beagle board recommendation. However the component has become unavailable and the lead times are unacceptably huge. I got this W972GG6JB-3-ND from Winbond recommended from Digikey. It however has a 8ns clock period as compared to 2.5ns for the Micron. Will the Winbond memory work with the AM335X? What are the key things that I need to consider?

The DDR2 design guidelines are given in section 5.6.2.2 of the AM335X Datasheet Rev.F. For DDR2 memories the supported clock frequencies are from 125MHz to 266MHz.
