DM814x: is there an updated MMC.rtf?

TI folks,

We have developed a product based on the DM814x, using:

  • DM814x PG 3.0
  • EZSDK 5.05.02.00
  • EZSDK OMX/HDVPSS Overlay 5.05.02.00
  • PSP 04.04.00.02
  • Most of the Arago updates for both linux and u-boot in ti81xx-master after the v2.6.37_TI81XXPSP_04.04.00.02.patch1 tag

I need to add a second MMC card.  I followed the instructions in the famous MMC.rtf doc, and it apparently worked, but this doc is quite old, and there have been MMC-related changes to the DM814x kernel since then.  Is there an updated document for how to add a second MMC card to a DM814x product?

The original MMC.rtf is attached here, for reference.

Thanks,

Dan -

The origin of this document is the below e2e thread:

    http://e2e.ti.com/support/dsp/davinci_digital_media_processors/f/716/t/144963.aspx

Checking with the author of the MMC.rtf document, there is no newer version than the first one. As this document is not official TI user guide, there is no update. This document is fully informal.

Good reference could be “Board port training” for AM335x - http://www.ti.com/lsds/ti/arm/training/OLT312010.page
It provides several examples of enabling different peripherals and is based on the same kernel as DM814x.

    Regards,
    Pavel

  • Pavel,

Totally essential, but "fully informal" - got it.  Thanks for inquiring with the author and getting back to me.
