Some questions about DM3730 PoP Packaging

Hello,I am using a beagleboard xM, I just have read the SCH and found that the pins of SDRCs and GPMCs are leaving without connecting. GPMCs have no connecting because there is no nandflash, and SDRCs have no connecting because the RAM useing PoP packaging, so I want to know that if I can use the SDRCs or GMPCs to connecting to orther devices, such as FPGA?

Hi Al,

Your assumption about the possibility for connecting a FPGA to the pins of the SDRAM controller or GPMCs of DM3730 is right but you should consider that on the FPGA must operates a driver which must emulate the behavior of SDRAM or GPMC.

Hi Tsvetolin,

It's very kind of you giving me a reply. So if I get ready of the FPGA, I can just use those Pins? As another question is that how the RAM and processor get connect with a PoP packaging? They do not use SDRC pins? Or the DM3730 has an additional set of Pins doing this?
