PA EMAC Example

I am trying to run PA emac example on EVM..I am not getting response from PA for Add_MACAddress function and i am getting this error message "Timeout waiting for reply from PA to Pa_addMac command".I have used the updated code given in the above post still there is no response from PA.

The same thing works fine on simulator.Why i am not able to get response from PA when run on EVM and also in simulator i am not able to recieve any packets.

Please share if you have any inputs.

Hi,

Go through the Readme.txt to find the steps for run this project("PA EMAC").
pdk_C6678_1_1_2_6\packages\ti\drv\pa\example\emacExample\Readme.txt
How are you testing the PA_EMAC example on EVM board?

We are able to recieve packets using PA emac example when run on simulator.We are using MCSDK 2.0.6.

But on EVM it still not working.Add_MAC function fails with the error "Timeout waiting for reply from PA to Pa_addMac command.Only once it worked on emulator but afterwards the same error repeats.

What is the issue with the EVM?

This is a good progress on your side. The example project may not close all the handles related with PA, EMAC after first time successful run on the console. If you reload and run the same output file,even the target was terminating every time before you reload, you may not get succeed.

I can suggest you, please do the power cycle(EVM board) each time when you run an example project.
