TwinCAT online upgrade EtherCAT application on custom board (without DDR)

Hi Sirs,

I have tested upgrade EtherCAT application on TMDSICE3359 board(v2) through TwinCAT tool. , but it can't upgrade for my custom board.

due to the custom board no DDR, so that application is running at IRAM and OCMC_RAM,

My question point is , Does the TwinCAT can online upgrade application on my custom board successfully? if not, how can I to do it ?

As you point out it's probably due to the lack of enough RAM memory.

Thanks for your reply.

I think EtherCAT slave board need DDR for TwinCAT(as Master) upgrade application. Right?

Could you please confirm the concern point for me?

Eric,

The IRAM application available in ISDK does not support Online Firmware upgrade. But this does not mean it requires DDR, it's technically feasible.
