Booting linux in less time with class 10 SD card

can boot time of TI provided Linux be reduced if i use higher class SD card like class 10 (without any change in code)? or i need to change clock speed in SD device driver?

is auto detection of SD card speed is implemented in Linux? so that clock speed can be set according to class of SD card?
