Problem with MACID

When I try to boot my beaglebone using a kernel from the SDK and rootfs ubuntu I get

[    1.537353] Detected MACID=bc:6a:29:94:75:79                                                           
[    1.543243] cpsw: Detected MACID = bc:6a:29:94:75:7a  

I think this is the reason why I get  2 internet device, eth0 and eth1 but I cannot utilize both of them.

./ipconfig eth0 up

hang forever.

Any ideas?
