We want to develop a product based on ads1298 ; 8 channelwith ECG 8000 KPS ; we are looking for the best DSP that fit our application .

1 . Collect data 8 channels ECG from ads1298 at sampling rate 8000 .

2. perform for each channel pace detector algorithm

3. perform FIR filter of at least 60 tabs for the 8 channels ( low pass filter ) .

4. DC removable for the 8 channels filter

5. QRS detection and bpm calculations.

6. 50/60 hz nortch filter for 8 channels ( sampling rate here 500 hz) 400tab FIR filter .

7. after all filtering send the proccessed data via usart or spi to the main MCU .

Now we noticed that TI have development kit based on TMS320C5515 ; but since we are new to TI DSPs does this DSP enough for our Project?

Do you suggest a better DSP may be with floating piont ; remember please that the price is important for us .

What are the minimal developments tools we need ; for example CCS ? which version ? JTAG programmers .. and so .

Hi,

Now we noticed that TI have development kit based on TMS320C5515 ; but since we are new to TI DSPs does this DSP enough for our Project?

This C5x (C5515) processors are very old, Currently we have C6x (C6000) series powerful DSP processors.

In general, C55x family was more commonly used hardware but still OMAP 35x family & OMAPL13x family also supports ECG & EEG end equipments. To know more on ultra low power c5000 DSP's. please refer the below wiki:

If you use c55x DSP's for ECG application, CCS 3.3 and CCS 4.0 version would be compatible
