Hello

I have a doubt about TMDXLCDK6748.I have read that this board has a camera connector, but it is only for leopard imaging cameras.

I want to build a system to do some image processing. I want to connect a CMOS sensor to the board, then I will save the pictures in the RAM and do the algorithm. I would like to know if it is possible to connect a CMOS sensor to this board using the GPIOS. I have seen that the board has an expansion port with the GPIOS.

No, We can't interface the camera through GPIOs, instead we have dedicated VPIF capture interface for Camera.

We have examples for composite (video source like camera) interface to run the face detect demo (image processing)

Ok, I have to use VPIF but how can I connect the cmos sensor to the board? My sensor is not leopard imaging.

Sorry, I have edited the previous post, try the link now.

Actually LCDK board camera connector compatible to leopard cameras only,

If you have any different cameras then you need to refer the LCDK schematics & your camera schematics then you may have to create custom cable/pcb (readily available in market) to interface your camera to LCDK.

Is there any issues avoiding the leopard camera?

Yes, there is an issue. I need a 5Mp monochrome sensor because I need high resolution. The Leopard Imaging cameras do not have this specifications.

Maybe If I had to create a custom cable/pcb, it would be so expensive. I would like to know if there is any sensor of this specification avaliable for the LCDK. If there is no one, I will have to study some alternatives.
