Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TMS320C6655

I would like to connect Ethernet MAC of TMS320C6655 device to AM335x device on a common motherboard. Any suggestions on connecting these 2 devices - TMS320C6655 has SGMII interface to AM335x (MII, RMII, RGMII) interface.

Haven't done this connection before, but I am thinking you can consider to use a RGMII-SGMII converter on the AM335x side and connect the converter's SGMII interface to the TMS320C6655's SGMII interface.

One such device I googled is - MAX24287 (1Gbps Parallel-to-Serial MII Converter).

The MAX24287 could be a possibility. After looking at this device, I came across a Marvell Ethernet transceiver which may also work since it supports RGMII & SGMII.
