C6678 I2C NAND FLASH BOOT PROBLEM

Hi everyone,

I have problem in booting DSP from NAND flash. I google net for more than a month. I read almost any thing about boot, for example:

My problem:

I change boot key to NAND image 0. Before I program EEPROM, DEVSTAT register is 0x082B. When I program EEPROM and I check DEVSTAT register, it is 0xFFFF. Is it wrong here? Am I programing EEPROM with wrong data?

Hi Alex,

Are you using the 6678 EVM or a custom design? The C6678 does not support NAND boot directly, but requires an Intermediate Boot Loader (IBL).

I also did not see the BIOS MCSDK 2.0 User Guide listed as a reference you have read, so I will provide it here in case you haven't: http://processors.wiki.ti.com/index.php/BIOS_MCSDK_2.0_User_Guide#Bootloader_and_Boot_Utilities

Please check out that link, as well as the link to the IBL User Guide located in that section of the wiki.
