AM335X USB babble recovery

Hi,

We met an USB babble issue on AM335x. When I connect an USB printer to one port of the host controller, sometimes the host controller receives a babble interrupt (the second bit of register USB0IRQSTATRAW1 USB_2 is set)

After this interrupt happens, host controller can’t receive any new interrupt from this port even I disconnect the printer from this port and reconnect it to this port.

Does TI have some guides about how to handle the babble interrupt?

Hi, Biser,

The OS is Windows Embedded Compact 7.

And we are using ADENEO Embedded, reference BSP version 2.3.

I will move this to the WinCE forum, but WinCE is a third-party product, provided and supported by Adeneo Embedded. My suggestion is that you contact them directly.

Greetings!!

Babble is known issue and it can be resolved from the H/W point of view.

Actually, you can solve the issue by using USB Power HUB.

The cause of this error is the additional power required to some of the USB devices.

Hi Partap,

My customer has same issue to the USB babble.

Could you give me the datails to solve it by using USB Power HUB?
And is there a solution by changing software?
Any comment would be appreciated.
