how can i run the image processing project of tms320c6678

i am starter with tms320c6678,i have some problem with the image processing project.

i want to run image processing project in the demo section of mcsdk_2_00_00_beta2.

i select both of the master and slave image project in C:\Program Files\Texas Instruments\mcsdk_2_00_00_beta2\demos\image_processing

first i make new target configuration file, and select Blackhawk xds560v2 usb mezzanine emulator for c6678 and then i built all projects but there is a problem about packages that i cant undrestand it.

do you know how i can run this project? if yes please say me step by step, thanks alot for your attention.

Armin,

If you take IPC based Image processing demo have two set of projects. Master project should be load on Core0 of DSP and Slave project should be run on the Core1-7. You need to group this cores like Core0 and core1-7.

After load the .out file to relevant cores, run and test. This will give you IP address on the console window. Using this IP get the browser page.

should i load gel file in the project? master gel file or slave gel file or both?

Single gel file is enough to enumerate all cores. Take Core0 as the master core and load the gel file.

thanks for your answer.

i selected master gel file and load master.out to core0 but i have this error :

C66xx_1: File Loader: Data verification failed at address 0x8C000000 Please verify target memory and memory map.

i can load slave.out to core1-7 but master.out make error.

Armin,

I believe that you are using EVMC6678 board, not custom board. Please see the snapshot for how set the gel file on Core0 only.

i grouped core 1-7 and load gel file as you said but still i have this error:

C66xx_0: File Loader: Data verification failed at address 0x8C000000 Please verify target memory and memory map.

but when i load slave .out file in core 1-7 it will be done

Did you load the proper gel file on Core0? I have tested this demo on EVMC6678 for reference, see the snapshot.

thanks for your help

i set a wrong gel file and with your helpful picture i could correct it.

now i could run the project but i cant receive IP from console window. and i have a fault that i don't know what is it! may be it for my dip switch state? i show my dip switches state in following picture, but i do not know that it is right or not!

Armin,

I would strongly suggest that you upgrade your software version to the latest. The version you are using mcsdk_2_00_00_beta2 is old and of beta quality. I also tested the image processing demo with mcsdk_2_1_2_6 and it worked fine. Hope this helps.

with help of pubesh i can run this project now, but i can't receive the IP. i guess that setup of my dip switches is wrong. do you konw how can i setup this switches?

Armin,

Refer this wiki page to find the section "Set User Switch for the demo application" for Ethernet Switch Settings. Please make sure the Ethernet cable is connected with Board's RJ-45 Port as well as your working network environment like Your Desktop PC connected or not. Your SW settings are correct as per your snapshot.

finally i could run this project , i clear the pin2 of switch9 and i get the IP :192.168.2.100.

now when i want to run this project in the DHCP mode(with set the pin2 of sw9) , i cant receive IP...
