IBIS-AMI Model

I need to perform SerDes simulations (SRIO) with the C6670 DSP.  Is there an IBIS-AMI model available?

  • Hi Paul,

Welcome to the TI E2E forum. I hope you will find many good answers here and in the TI.com documents and in the TI Wiki Pages (for processor issues). Be sure to search those for helpful information and to browse for the questions others may have asked on similar topics (e2e.ti.com).

The IBIS model is available in product folder of C6670( Tools & Software -> Models). Please download it from below link.

    Thanks.

  • Hi Paul,

The AMI simulation models require an NDA and are not available on TI.COM.  Contact your local TI FAE to start the approval process to gain access to these models.

    Thanks.

  • Hi Rajasekaran,

Thanks for the response.  I have done that and have the IBIS-AMI model.  The model is working and I have some results but I have a problem with one of the parameter settings.

The post-cursor tap weights for transmit have a setting range from 0 to 15 but the document SPRUGW1B (SRIO User Guide) shows in Table 3-15 that there are values ranging from 0 to 31.  The values 0 to 15 are positive tap weights and the values from 16 to 31 are negative tap weights.

Does the IBIS-AMI model tap weights from 0 to 15 coorespond to the positive tap weights from Table 3-15?

Why does the IBIS-AMI model not have the negative tap weights?

    Thanks.

  • Hi Paul,

I am not an expert in IBIS-AMI Model. I am working with the team to support you. Thank you for your patience.

  • Paul

The post cursor only includes negative post cursor range from -0.375 to 0 with 0.025 step.

    Thanks
