C6748 Libraries Questions

Hi,

I am using a LCDK board. For my first step, I tried to turn on an LED. I saw the example file for GPIO. I have some questuins:

1- Is there any file explaining the functuins used in libraries like gpio.h as I wasn't able to find out what the inputs are for the functions in gpio.h?

2- There some functions in this example which belong to a library that is related to the LCDK board. Are there any other functions to be used instead of them? I don't like to be limited by those functions.

3- Is there any tutorial explaining assembli programming in CCS?

Hi Vala,

What is the name of the software package you are referring to? Is the C6748 libraries are part of C6748 starterware code? If yes, you can refer to the below wiki page in which the programming sequence of GPIO is given.

If you mention the name of the function, file along with the package name, we will help you better.

Thanks for your answer. Actually this another question I have. Sorry they are so basic. I found the example in C6748_StarterWare_1_20_03_03 folder of the packages which came in SD card with my board. What are these software packages? Just adding some libraries and functions to CCS? How can I use from this software packages? just searching for needed libraries and adding them to my project?

The functions which I want to use belong to gpio.h. For example I want to know what GPIOBankIntEnable(unsigned int baseAdd, unsigned int bankNumber) does and what the first argument is. But I have this question about all the functions of this library (and maybe about other libraries I will used in future). I need a source explaining all of them.

Hi Oz,

Thanks for your answer I can't understand why there this many files out there just for a specific device. The first file really helped my about discovering the registers related to GPIO, but I still have problem about those functions. The gpio.h library is probably the simplest one, I can guess what those functions are, but I need a source explaining them, if there is any.

Do you have any idea about my other questions? Assembly programming, software packages, LCDK libraries and etc.
