Using ezDSP5535 standalone without USB sampling and fft

Hello,

I started with the c55_caf_02.00.02.04 (csl_usb_iso_fullspeed_example) and added a simple frequency/amplitude detector in csl_i2c_power_monitor.c after the FFT in the spectrum display section. It works as expected and now I want to strip it down to run standalone without USB, sampling the input all the time from power on. Is it possible or is there an example better suited to start with for my application that skips the USB part?

You should be able to decouple the usb task. Could you try removing the USBMainTask from the Task Manager in the scheduling section in VC5505_CSL_BIOS_cfg.tcf and also, removing the usb init section in the CSL_acTest()? The audio data is collected in ping_pong_i2sRxLeftBuf/ recInLeftBuf/ codec_input_buffer. You may use it according to your requirement.
