Hi All,
I'm designing a custom board based on AM3352 in ZCZ package in oorder to run it in Nitro mode @1GHz. I have 2 questions if somebody has already designed the same parts than me :
1) I would like to use the power IC TPS650650 rather than the TPS65217 in order to lower costs. But the TPS650250 does not provide voltage dynamically changing. So I have to fix it. In order to run @1GHz VDD_MPU must be between 1.272v and 1.378v.
Do you think I can put permanently 1.35v to VDD_MPU even if the CPU does not run at @1GHz ?
My question seems a bit stupid, but in the datasheet if the CPU is in OPP100 mode (600MHz) for example, the VDD_MPU must be between 1.152v and 1.248v. So 1.35v > 1.248v and perhaps there is a danger to have an IC failure with over voltage at 600MHz. I don't think so, but I'm confused with the "Maximum voltage" in modes lower than Nitro mode
2) Concerning Power-Up Sequencing, is it possible to have VDDS_DDR ramped up simultaneously with VDD_MPU ? If yes, I would like to provide the same 1.35v to my DDR3L and the VDD_MPU, If not I have to use 2 DCDC.
