Flash 10.1 pre-release availability

As per http://focus.ti.com/pr/docs/preldetail.tsp?sectionId=594&prelId=sc09045 and others, it sounds like a Flash 10.1 pre-release is available for OMAP3. We're interested in evaluating Flash 10 on OMAP3 for use in embedded kiosks.

Technical question: Will this release leverage the PowerVR core for off-cpu compositing?

Availability questions: How do I get access to the pre-release? What's the timeframe for a production release?

Yes, it will be SGX accelerated. It's not available yet. I've not heard any details or timelines yet for release to the broad market. The first places you'll see it will be some of the Android phones and the Palm Pre. You might want to post your question again once you see that happen as I imagine we'll know more at that time in terms of general availability.

The first version of Flash10 on Linux is now available at,

http://focus.ti.com/docs/toolsw/folders/print/adobeflash-a8.html

The Android Froyo version will be posted along with the Froyo Devkit release.
