gel file for C5505

,Hello, i have a stand alone C5505 system, is there a separate gel file i need to add for it? i have the EVMC5505, can i use the gel file which comes along with it?

also, i have purchased a Blackhawk emulator (BH-USB-560m). however in the CCS3.3 setup, i am not sure what i should add to represent the C5505 device.

  • Tanman,

The gel file for the EVMC5505 should be mostly applicable.  The place where you might need to change it would be if you have a different external memory configuration compared to the EVM.  Then you would need to change that portion of the gel file.  The function that contains the memory definition is called C5505_MapIniit() in my gel file.

Blackhawk should provide drivers for their emulator.  If you didn't get them in the package that the emulator came in, then you should be able to find them on the Blackhawk web site: http://www.blackhawk-dsp.com/support/Default.aspx.

    Regards.
