TVP5158 no video dectected

Hi all，

      I use DM8168 +5158 to capture cvbs.I use RDK 3.0.The first channel of the TVP5158 has input PAL signal.But  RDK 3.0 show " no video dected".By the way ,Reading chip id is ok. Can you help me?

    I assume the Netra and 5158 communication is OK.

    Then we need to check the status of TVP5158 if it has correctly recognized your PAL signal.

    Check the registers in Table 4-2. Status 1  Field rate status Vertical sync lock status Horizontal sync lock status

    I believe you shall able to find something.

    Hi Eason,

       I check reg is:

       Table 4-2      Reg addr :00   value:10   (no vertical sync lock ,no horizontal sync lock)

       Table 4-2      Reg addr :00   value:08  (no signal present)

       Table 4-10      Reg addr :0e   value:03

       Table 4-11      Reg addr :0f   value:03

       This is hardware err or software err.Can you tell me ?.The first channel of the TVP5158 has input PAL signal.

    It indicates the signal is not present.

    You can measure from the input pin on TVP5158 to check if the signal is really present or not....

    If it is present, pls attach the signal wave picture, 

    You can also set the register Table 4-64. Output Formatter Control 2,   force the bluescreen. If you can not get image, then the digital part of TVP5158 might not work properly.
