Command to eject cd from cdrom

Hello,

We have connected an usb cd-rom player to the usb port, and using Arago Linux from TI version 3.12.10-ti2013.12.01

Everything is working fine, but for our project the user will not be able to eject the cd with the normal eject button on the cd-rom player, but with an external eject button.

I would like to know what the command is to eject the cd.

I tried #eject /dev/cdrom but this doesn't work the errors is that eject command not is found, and even busybox eject is not working.

Hi Patrick,

Would you please tell us on which TI processor you are trying this experiment? So that, if we have the same processor, we will try to reproduce the issue.

Is it a Custom board? or a TI EVM?

Hi Patrick,

1. How many CD slots are there? If it is morethan one, we may have to specify something like below

>eject -c 1 /dev/cdrom ( Where 1 refers to the first slot.

2. Try the eject command with -v option to get more information

>eject -v /dev/cdrom

Hello,

The processor is used is AM335x serie.

The problem is that the eject command not is recognized by Linux. So I cannot use this command.

Also in BusyBox this command is not present in the TI Linux kernel(07.00.00.00 SDK)

Hi,

Are you facing any error while you running the 'eject' command ?

Please post the o/p log here.

Use the attached files for 'eject' command for armv7 and let us know the status.
