IBL NAND boot on image 0

Hi,

In our customized board, we are using MT29F1G08ABADAWP NAND Flash. we have fused the Hello world application program in the NAND Flash and we fused the IBL in the EEPROM. We have changed the switch setting to IBL NAND boot on image 0 . After POR the following message is shown and the Application is not getting up, and the bellow statement is shown, Any suggestions or ideas. It is very urgent

nand_open: Bad Block Identified

Hi Avinash,

1. Do you see this behavior in all boards?

2. Have you tried changing the NAND flash mounted on the board?

3. Have you modified IBL code? If yes. What have you modified?

It seems to be issue with hardware.

Hi Rajasekaran,

What issue actually we are facing is, In the EVM Numonyx NAND chip is used through EMIF16. In the IBL the NAND support is provided Numonyx NAND flash. In the Default IBL the Bad Blocks or Bad Sectors of the NAND FLASH is handeled for Numonyx NAND. But in our customized board we are using Micron NAND Flash. So what are the changes has to be done for handelling the Bad Block issues. Because in Numonyx NAND Flash and in Micron NAND Flash Bad sectors are totally different.

Questions:

1. What other changes has to be done? In which particular File in the IBL?
2. If you have any Source code for Micron NAND Flash, Can you Provide?
