From where can i get the serial port numbers of AM335x? ie which port on the board corresponds to ttyO1/ttyO2 etc

They should correspond, i.e. UART0 =ttyO0, UART1 = ttyO1, etc.

is there a datasheet where i can find which serial port is UART0/UART1 etc? All i see on the board is J10, J11, J12. Do i assume thats UART0/UART1.. ?

One of TI's EVM's or custom board? If it's a custom board you have to check the schematics.

The link isn't opening at the moment but I will have a look at it in a while. I can use the serial ports on the EVM freely right? Do i need to edit the inittab file in /etc or something with sbin/getty?

I cannot say. I'm not a software expert. There are several profiles in which this EVM can be set. Depending on profile chosen the TI distributed Linux EZSDK should configure the board appropriately without attitional intervention.

I want to use one/all if possible of the serial ports on the daughter board of the AM335x EVM, as well as the LCD display.

HW User Guide is not clear, I assume that I that need to set the CPLD switch for a certain profile? What profile is it and would it allow me to use the UART(s) alongside with ttyO0 UART and LCD? Moreover can i disable the Bluetooth functionality of the J10 UART below the LCD to be used normally?
