Pins status during processor reset state

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS65217

Hi,

We are using AM335X processor on our platform. We enabled RTC only power mode keeping LDO1 (RTC) and LDO2 regulators of TPS65217 active. We are seeing leakage currents which we are trying to solve.

The processor data sheet says during OMAP reset, pins will go to high impedance state. is there a way to change this? Or do we need to take care in the board design?

Thanks,

Srinivas

  • Hi Srinivas,

AM335X RTC-only mode requires that only the VDDS_RTC power supply be active (see Table 8-13 in the AM335X TRM Rev. J). In your case you are probably supplying other 1.8V and 3.3V power rails too.

The AM335X I/O pin state in Reset is given in Table 2-7 (column BALL RESET STATE) in the AM335X Datasheet Rev. F. Note that not all pins are Hi-Z, some have internal pullup/pulldown resistors enabled. It is not possible to change pin behavior during Reset.
