DM8148 framebuffer issue

Hi All,

I am new to DM8148 OSD & framebuffer topics. I have DM8148 custom board which loads m3vpss driver

according to my bootargs, now I want  to enable /dev/fb0 so I try to change my kernel configuration as VPSS

driver user guide suggested. I have ti81xxfb.ko,when I try to do insmod I am getting vps_gprx not found.

then I did modinfo which shows ti81xxfb.ko depends on vpss, but my init script already load

dvr_rdk_fw_m3vpss_1024M_384M.xem3. even I try to load vpss.ko manually using insmod which shows

No such device. and I am not getting /dev/fb0 . Please let me know where I am going wrong.

        Which package are you using. Please share the full boot logs including the driver load logs.

  • Have you loaded vpss-m3 and video-m3 binary? Without this, vpss.ko and fbdev cannot be loaded..
