Which versions of Openembedded layers in up-coming MCSDK releases?

I'd like to know if there has been any further thoughts within TI about upgrading to a newer OpenEmbedded branch. The development tools have been improved a lot in recent releases and it would give a much better experience for ourselves and our customers if we could use a more recent OpenEmbedded branch. The dylan branch is nearly 2 years old and it's difficult to work towards getting patches into the mainline kernel and do other upstreaming work when the development platform is so far behind.

The reason we stay behind is because some of the features we include in MCSDK are broken in the newer branch. We are waiting for the fix before move forward. In the next MCSDK release, 3.1.4, we should have Yocto v1.6.

Many thanks for your quick reply. I've done a lot of upstream work with the Yocto Project over the last couple of years and I'm looking forward to being able to make use of the recent improvements again! If there's any testing or fixes you'd like help with, please don't hesitate to contact me.

I've just looked at the MCSDK v3.1.3 release from 27th March and this is still on the dylan branch (Yocto v1.4). You've said the daisy branch (Yocto v1.6) will be used in MCSDK v3.1.4, do you have any estimate for when this version will be released?
