Hi,

We are planning to use AM3352. While reading its datasheet it is observed that it supports upto 16-Bit ECC using BCH code (t = 4, 8 or 16). TRM Page number - 264.

So what t stands here? For example we are planning to use SPANSION's S34ML02G100TFI00_2Gb_x8_Nand. Which describes it is a 1-bit ECC.

In this scenario ELM can be configures to 1-bit ECC?

What software do you plan on using?

The Linux that comes with the TI Sitara Linux SDK uses BCH8 ECC scheme.

Thank You for the reply.

So, I want to understand if the NAND Device datasheet says it is capable of 1-bit ECC in that scenario can we use BCH (4/8)?

Or is it mandatory to use 8-Bit ECC NAND device if BCH8 is supported by software?
