I had a doubt in connecting either PMIC_VRTC or ext.LDO_RTC to VDDS_RTS(RTC core), it was clarified in PMIC forum that to connect external.LDO to VDDS_RTC and leave PMIC_VRTC unconnected.
Now my doubt is, what is the mechanism is used to keep the RTC values(date and time) in the processor? TRM shows that RTC power supply must be on in order to maintain RTC values.
But external LDO which powered from board supply so when board power is OFF then external LDO will also be powered down. I have also noticed that Reference schematics(EVM or IDK) of TI follow the same.
If we need to follow, then external LDO must be powered from on board battery. Please correct me if i am wrong and suggest me the way to handle it.
