What is the most efficient solution to load the initial image in a Sitara based board?

Hi,

We are designing a board based on the AM3352 CPU. On the BBB, we can load an image from a SD card, but this process takes 45 minutes. This is not usable in large volume production.

What is the best way to load that initial image in a reasonable time?

Are you referring to programming the image onto the board at production time or run time load of the exe image?

I am talking about loading the initial image at production time in the eMMC chip.

This process can flash the TI SDK in approximately 6 minutes. Further optimization could probably get it closer to 5 or less, depending on how far you wanted to go.

Great, thank you. 6 minutes is still long for production, but much much better than the 45 minutes from uSD.
