Current in GPIO pins EVM5515

Hi,

I would like to know which current can provide GPIO pins and if it is configurable. I have connected a LED between GPIO4 and GND. The idea is to turn the LED ON by setting GPIO4 as output and set it to high level.

The LED I've used turns on when the voltaje is over 1.7V. However, i can't turn it on when the VDD_IO1 is set to 1.8V. I measured the voltaje with an osciloscope and the voltaje is about 1.72V. Then i tried the same by setting the VDD_IO1 to 3.3V and the Led turns on but it makes very por luminosity. I tried this LED with a power source and it has a high luminosity with 2mA.

I think that GPIO provides very low current. Can anybody show me?

The Ioh parameter specification can be found in the Electrical Characteristics section. If the GPIO is mux'ed as EMIF, it could source 5mA at DVdd=1.8V.

And in the other GPIO's?

When you said GPIO mux'ed as EMIF you are referring to the GPIO's 21:26 right?

I can use this pins as General Purpose Input Output with a current source of 5mA?

I can't found the current in the other GPIO's.

You can refer to the GPIO Terminal Functions under Terminal Functions to identify what that specific GPIO pin is mux'ed with. Then refer back to the Ioh for limit.

Finally the error was that the LED was broken. I've tried with another LED and it works fine!
