EVMK2H: Multicore communication on ARMs side

Hi,

Since EVMK2H board has 4 cores of ARM A15, we would like to run different applications on different ARM A15 cores.

Q1: How to do to let different applications run on different ARM A15 cores?

Q2: How to do communications between applications running on different ARM A15 cores?

Hi Tony,

The current MCSDK 3.x released for K2H runs SMP Linux on top of ARM cores.

I think, a thread's CPU affinity mask determines the set of CPUs on which it is eligible to run.

The thread is talking about AMP multiple linux kernel. But my case is SMP and ONLY one linux kernel.

I know TI has IPC related SW, like syslink or syslib. But it supports ARM <-> DSP, DSP <-> DSP. It seem doesn't support ARM <-> ARM. Is there any SDK or library to support IPC(inter processors communication) between ARMs?

Hi Tony,

We support only SMP Linux kernel. We are working with factory team to get examples for IPC. We will post back once we got the information.
