Re: The problem with the display of file DSP_BIOS.tcf

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CCSTUDIO

***Parent thread is here --TH***

I'm having similar problems with my TCF file.  I had thing working and now the environment is broken.  My TCF file is showing up in the Documents folder rather than in the DSP/BIOS Config folder.  When I build, I get the message "Error, Don't know how to build file "C:\Projects\MyProject\Project.tcf"

Also I am unable to save my project because I get the error mesage 'Cannot save the project "C:\Projects\MyProject\Project.prj". Not all build tools are loaded"

I do get the graphical BIOS editor when I open my TCF file.

I'm running CCStudio 3.3.  (About screen says 3.03)

Versions:

IDE 5.98.0.393

BIOS 5.33.04 (About screen reports 5.33.03)

CGTools 6.1.9

Thanks,

Chris

    • Go to Help -> About -> Component Manager.
    • There you can change your DSP/BIOS version to 5.33.04 for your ISA (e.g. TMS320C64XX).
    • Go to File -> Save and File -> Exit in the Component Manager.
    • Close CCS.
    • Check your Windows environment variables and check that your BIOS_INSTALL_DIR variable points to the 5.33.04 installation (or whatever version you chose in Component Manager).
    • Restart CCS.  The Help -> About should reflect the proper version.

Why do you have a "prj" file?  It should be a "pjt" file.  Please attach your pjt file for inspection if the above steps do not help.

For future issues it would be preferable to start a new thread and perhaps post a link referencing this thread.

  • Chris,

I've moved this post to the Code Composer sub-forum as this did not exist at the time of the last thread. Hopefully one of our CCS gurus can chime in...
