C54x and PC Parallel Port

Hi,

Please I need to connect my ‘C5402 DSP board to the host PC using the Parallel Port (printer).

1/ My software is based on the ‘C5402 DSK libraries and routines provided by TI (spra 382).

2/ At the hardware side, I added the electronics (JK flip flop + NOT) as described in SPRA151.

The first tests were negatives.. The connection between the PC and the target is failed.

All your suggestions will be apreciated!

    Hi,

    Can you elaborate more on the issue you are facing.

    What is the current state of your hardware , Did you mean the tests you ran, not working only with parallel port interface.  Did you try other basic sanity tests on your custom DSK board ? Were you able to boot sucessfully and so on..?

    Have you followed the reference DSK schematics. Was there any deviation in your schematic design other than the JK flipflop added as per SPRA151.
