Modifying EDID in TC358743

I'm using OMAP5 EVM and Toshiba's TC358743. I'd like to add a resolution to the EDID structure (EDID 1.3).

The resolution (1024x768) is mentioned in Established Timing section. If I set the corresponding bit in the EDID, I'm not able to get the camera handle itself. This behaviour is same for setting anything in Established Timings and Standard Timings section. What does this behaviour imply? Generally, is it possible to modify Established Timings and Standard Timings sections?

My second question is whatever resolution I mention in EDID, will all of it be supported by the Toshiba bridge?

Hi Gomathi,

I don't have the source for the ducati driver at the moment( I presume it is the one you use). Did you check if your driver have device node allowing edid timing modification as it is done here:

But, isn't that for setting the HDMI out resolution? I'm setting EDID in the TC358743's EDID RAM. This acts as HDMI In.

I was implying that it might be possible to set in a similar matter with device node support.

I was able to set the EDID values in the ducati driver. But, there are some PC resolutions like 1366x768. How do I set that in the EDID? Should it be done both in standard timing section and detailed timing descriptor?
