I am starting to learn DSPs from TI because I need to test the processing of digital audio. The chosen DSP to start is the TMS320C6745 (by price), the SDK is the CCS 6 as far I know. My troubles appearing since I need a real time system and seems to be several options (SYS/BIOS) (TI-RTOS) (DSP/BIOS) (BIOS-PSP). I need to process the FFT of audio signals and the use of GPIOs and several pheripherals like I2S (philips) for codecs, ethernet too. Ti-RTOS seems to encapsulate SYS/BIOS and some drivers like Ethernet, USB, SD and I2C, that are very useful. How can I use GPIOS, RAM Memory ports, UART, and I2S ports? The BIOS-PSP seems to manage this drivers, unfortunately for the C6745 it is only available for DSP/BIOS 5:

What is the difference between SYS/BIOS and DSP/BIOS? The date of release?
I am in a mess with so many options, please, Could somebody point me in the right direction for such DSP and application?
