Hi,

 

I understand that OMAP3530 support double precision (64 Bits) floating point processing.

Can anyone provide me with information if the double precision floating point processing is hardware or software based?

      All versions of OMAP35xx with the ARM Cortex A8 processor have the VFP core which is single and double precision floating point in hardware.  There is also the NEON features which support single precision float.  Some versions of OMAP35xx also have the DSP and PowerVR SGX, which also do single precision float in hardware.  Here are some links for more info:
