DM8168 part numbers

Hi,

A DM8168 part number starts with "TMS320DM8168". It goes with the options: Blank, A, B, S, M or C, which is used for silicon revision. S, M and C is for silicon revision 2.1, (please check datasheet pg. 320) however I could not find anything about the fuctional differencies between S, M and C from literature. It is written that S is for video security and M is for video transport in the datasheet.

Could you please explain the differences between S, M and C?

Hi Pavel,

Thanks for your answer. It mostly answers my question. However, there is not any explanation about revision M in the links you sent. I think it is the same as S and C.
