[AM437x PRU] EnDAT and Delta-Sigma modulation ?

Hi,

I'm just investigating the feature of AM437x PRU. And I noticed there were some descriptions about EnDAT and Delta-Sigma modulation in the following document.

I briefly checked AM437x TRM and found AM437x PRU didn't have dedicated internal peripherals for them. So, I'm wondering these may be something software solutions using PRU.

Could you please share the more detailed information about these features ?

Hi,

These would be software solutions that run on the PRU, but I am not sure they are available yet. Whatever is available at the moment is included in http://software-dl.ti.com/sitara_linux/esd/PRU-SWPKG/latest/index_FDS.html

Regarding EnDat, it is under development. Please contact your local TI rep to get more details about availability.

Thanks for your information.
We will ask local FAE about the availability of these features, but please let me confirm one more thing.
As for Delta-Sigma modulation, is it included in EnDat software package ?

Kawada,

Sigma Delta Decimation Filter (SDDF) is a separate PRU firmware package and will be supported on AM437x. This is not part of EnDAT firmware package.

Plan is to have it either late 4Q14 or early 1Q15.

Hi Rogerio,

Can you please give an update on the schedule? The current Industrial SDK v02.00.00.02 doesn't contain the Sigma Delta stuff yet.
