Hi,

This post is regarding the init.rc file

I have Variscite SOM based omap4 Dart board & compiled the android source 4.2.2 to it. I am about to add my own service in android. The thing is I have the 4 different init.rc files at < android source root > / device / ti / blaze

init.omap4.blazeboard.rc

init.omap4dartboard.rc

init.omap4dartevm.rc

init.var-som-omap4460.rc

So how to identify the correct init.< >. rc file for my SOM based board.

Hello Sainath,

I suggest to see the following link: http://elinux.org/Android_Booting

During startup of the Android system the Linux kernel first calls the process "init". init reads the files "/init.rc" and "init.device.rc". "init.device.rc" is device specific.

Please add your service in init.omap4dartevm.rc in this file and test.
