AM5K2E04 pin-out irregularities

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: AM5K2E04

Hi there,

I'm currently designing a PCB which will use your AM5K2E04 Processor and I'm using the 'Product Preview' datasheet for pin-out details, since this is currently the only available source for this information.

In Table 4-3, pins: L24, M11, M13, M23, N12, N24, Y13, Y23, AA12, AA14, AA24, AB23 are defined as both CVDD and CVDD1 power pins.

Could you let me know which is the correct rail for these pins?

Also, pin P11 is defined as both USB0DVDD33 and USB1DVDD33. I'm guessing this should be USB1DVDD33, but please could you confirm this?

Many thanks,
Richard

  • Hello Richard,

    In Table 4-3, pins: L24, M11, M13, M23, N12, N24, Y13, Y23, AA12, AA14, AA24, AB23 are defined as both CVDD and CVDD1 power pins.

I guess you are referring to Rev.B preview datasheet. In Rev.C the above error is corrected. Those pins are defined for CVDD1.

This is typo error. The pin P11 is defined for USB1DVDD33 and pin Y11 is defined for USB0DVDD33.

  • Thank you Senthil,

I hadn't spotted the newer version of the data.

Something else that I can't seem to find is the mechanical drawing for the device. I'll need to know the size of the solder-balls and the height of the package fairly soon. Could you point me in the right direction?

    Thanks in advance,

    Richard

P.S. at the bottom of your reply was some text saying 'please click the Verify Answer button', but there's no Verify Answer button (see attachment).

  • Hi

On the mechanical drawing, have you looked at page 274 in the latest datasheet?

Let us know if that does not cover what you were looking for.
