OMAP-L137 Interfacing with NOR FLASH Memory

Dear All,

It is shown in OMAP-L137 SPRS563C document (page 80) that NOR FLASH memory address input A[0] is connected to OMAP-L137 output EMA_BA[1].

The rest of NOR FLASH memory address lines A[12:1] are connected to OMAP-L137 address bus EMA_A[12:0].

Please let me know if NOR FLASH memory address line A[1] is connected to OMAP-L137 address line EMA_A[1] or it is connected to OMAP-L137 address line EMA_A[0] (and so on regarding the rest of NOR FLASH memory address lines).

Please let me know which document describes in details how to connect NOR FLASH memory address bus to OMAP-L137 address bus.

The EMA_BA pins act as address pins on 8- and 16-bit modes. In 16-bit mode, the EMA_BA1 pin carries the LSB address. In 8-bit mode, EMA_BA[1:0] carry the least significant two bits of the address. See Figure 8 (EMIFA to 8-bit/16-bit Memory Interface) in the EMIFA user guide (SPRUFL6).

looking at the document it seems that EMA_BA[1] is the one for the 16 bit interface (sprufl6d.pdf). in your reply you sadi EMA_BA[0]? can you comment which one is the correct one.

You are correct, I had a typo in my original post, EMA_BA1 is the LSB in 16-bit mode. I have edited the original response.
