AM335x Linux Development Environment 64bit Question

I need to set up a development environment for the AM335x can you provide me with a good place to start.

I initially tried to install the SDK on Ubuntu 14.04 64Bit and that didn’t work because there are steps in the instructions that just don’t work on 14.04 64 or 32 bit. So I finally got a 12.04 32 bit up and running. Installing the SDK there went smooth. Now what?

I figured Code Composer as that is the IDE correct? That starts with instructions for 14.04 64 Bit.

What OS should I be setting up under? Please advise and thank you.

Hi Paul,

For CCS IDE installation & development, you can use ubuntu 12.04 32 bit too.

some further clarification:

TI gives instructions to install the SDK on 12.04 only. But it gives instructions for Code Compressor on 14.04 and 12.04. Why would they provide instructions to put CC on 14.04 and NOT the SDK. What good is CC without the SDK.

I would prefer to use 14.04 but I can’t install the SDK on 14.04. The BIN will NOT run on 14.04.

Then better go with ubuntu 12.04 for the SDK installation and install the CCS on ubuntu 12.04 too.
