Hi:

I am trying to compile a web site on omapl138 Arago Linux to let me configure some parameters from a browser. I know little about Java but my understanding is that I have to had a Java run time like node .js to let me run process or command line from a web page. Trying to cross compile node.js i receive macro-assembler-arm-o Error. Some web search I did suggest to install openssl-dev but trying to run opkg update result in following error:

It this mean that there is no more support for my Linux!?

Thank you for link and sorry for being slow!

I downloaded ejre1.7.0_60 and ejdk1.8.0_06 for arm5 from Oracle site.

But they obviously lack javac for compiling java files.

What did you mean lack of javac ?

For that you need to contact the oracle team.

Hi Titus,

In ORACLE JAVA SE EMBEDDED DOWNLOADS page there are three ejdk files for ARM Linux.

Two are for armv7 and one for arm5. In armv7 files there is javac (java compiler) file but armv5 /bin folder only contain a jrecreate.sh file which recreate java runtime. and without a java c I cannot compile my java files.

It seems that I was wrong in directly installing jre on my device according to the following page:

Though there is a headless arm5 jre package for download!

Alireza,

You have to install armv5 supported JRE on OMAPL138 platform.

Contact oracle for headfull support.

Thanks to the following page it turned out that I don't need javac compiler on target machine and I can compile my file on host!

Hi Titus:

Trying to run a simple GUI I get "cannot open shared object file ' error and following your link I manged to solve the first three error one by one but the error continued for "libXst.so.6" and "libXi.so.6" which I also found on rpmfind.

Then another one prompted for not finding "ld-linux-armhf.so.3" and unfortunately there was no armv5 package on the site.

Have you referred the E2E post which I gave earlier. ?

I think, it needs X server support on your filesystem.

Hi Titus,

Yes I exactly followed the post and as I mentioned since I received further error I continued to add more file.

I used the files u have attached are they for armv5?

By X server support do you mean copy lib libX11 files or I should install complete package?
