question about 6678 srio doorbell

hi, all:
We have a system which connect 6678 with FPGA, they
communicate with each other by SRIO. Now 6678 can
write and read from FPGA using directIO without error,
6678 can also receive doorbell from FPGA. I have question
about the doorbell:
It seems that 6678 can only receive 64 different doorbells.
Can 6678 receive more information by doorbell? In the
rapidIO specification, it shows the doorbell can convey 16 bit
information, but on 6678 it can only convey 6 bit. Is this understanding
true? I've read the SRIO user guide, but can get little from it. Could
someone give deeper explanation?

Hi Murat,

Yes, your understanding is correct.

C6678 suppot 64 doorbell events. Based on DOORBELL register(2bit) field and doorbell bit(4bit) field. For more information refer "Examples of DOORBELL_INFO Designations" table on SRIO user guide.

Also refer section "2.5 Interrupt setup" on SRIO Programming and Performance Data on Keystone DSP document.7711.SRIO_Programming_Performance.pdf
