Does this TMS320DM8148CCYEA0 processor support 1GHz speed

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TMS320DM8148

Hi,

We are using the processor IC TMS320DM8148CCYEA0

In the link http://e2e.ti.com/support/dsp/davinci_digital_media_processors/f/716/t/204555.aspx it was clear that

CYE1 or CYE2 will support 1GHz and

CYE and CYE0 do not support 1GHz

but we are using CCYEA0 does this processor support 1GHz.

Thanks,

No, CCYEA0 does not support 1GHz (same as CYE0). The max A8 ARM frequency that it can support is 720MHz. See DM814x datasheet, Figure 9-1. Device Nomenclature

    CCYEA0 means:

    C is 3.0 revision

    CYE is 684-pin BGA

A is extended temperature device (-40 to 105), while blank (CCYE0) is commercial temperature device (0 to 90)

    0 is 720MHz ARM, 600MHz DSP

    Pavel

  • Working condition must match the chip speed grade.
