g711 codec and gstreamer with DM355

In fact i have focused on theses paages for the last two weeks, it helped me to cross compile gstreamer and to manipulate DMAI plugin' elements.

I tested some example such displaying a video encoded with mpeg4 codec but i didn't found information about  g711 codec.

i found something like g711 is not integrated in gstreamer and it isn't a TI codec .

i don't know what i have to do !!

Hi Seif, Speech codecs (g.711, g.723, etc..) are not  currently supported as elements in the gstreamer implementation. If you want to run speech codecs you would need to refer the audio decoder elements and write the same decoder elements for speech. Basically you would create a new element very similar to the following files gsttiauddec.c gsttiauddec.h. Copy and paste into a new file for speech and modify them accordingly to support the speech codec.

I will try to add this element to supoort the speech codec and if i have a problem i will tell you.
