Thermal Model for C6670

Guru 15520 points

Hi,

I have a question about Thermal Model for the C6670.

I found Thermal Model at following TI Homepage:
http://www.ti.com/product/TMS320C6670/technicaldocuments#doctype12

I downloaded the zip file and it contains two .pdml file but I don't know how to use these files.
Q1.
Is this file for simulating the thermal of C6670?

Q2.
If yes, what tool is needed for simulation?
Is it CFD Tool which is written in the Thermal Design Guide?

best regards,
g.f.

  • Hi g.f.

the PDML file extension is used for files written in the Packet Details Markup Language.

E.G. Mentor's FloTHERM simulation-based IC package thermal characterization is using that format:

    Kind regards,
