DDR3 SPI NOR booting

Hello everybody,

Again a post from me.
I really can't seem to find a way to add an other DDR3 configuration to my program than my C6678 EVM...

Do I have to put some code in my main loop? And what code? The documentation on this is not great and many of the forum post answers aren't even working.

I hope someone that understands my question and I hope even more that someone knows how to answer it! :)

Hi Lars,

Have you validated the DDR3 configuration values with other DDR3?

Step 1:

I would suggest you to modify the C6678 gel file for DDR configuration and register initalization values then test the DDR3 by running the ddr3_memory_test().

Step 2:

Upon successfull completion of step1, the initalization code and values shall be updated in code provided by Rahul in below post.

Hi Rajasekaran,

Thank you for your answer. But I don't understand some things yet.

I can and know how to edit the GEL file. But I want to flash my program to my C6678 (with other DDR3 than on the evaluation kit). How do I include the GEL file into my program?
I need very clear steps to understand it because I'm not an advanced programmer on this platform yet.

Have you ever verified the new DDR configuration works or not?

If not, I would suggest you to update the new DDR configuration in gel file and test it using ddr3_memory_test() (part of gel).
