GPIOs not available.

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DM3725, DM3730

AM/DM37x TRM, doc SPRUGN4R ver R has the following note on page 196. What does it mean exactly?  These pins do seem to be functioning

(4) A maximum of 170 GPIO pins are supported. The following GPIO pins are not available: gpio_52, gpio_53, gpio_63 gpio_64,

gpio_144, gpio_145, gpio_146, gpio_147, gpio_152, gpio_153, gpio_154, gpio_155, gpio_175, and gpio_176. Pin muxing

restricts the total number of GPIO pins available at one time. See your device-specific data manual for more information on pin

multiplexing.

  • Hi Dave,

The mentioned remark below table 1-3 is not fulling correct. The restrictions about maximum of 170 GPIO pins supported and the list of not available GPIO pins refer only to DM37xx in the CUS package. You can obtain more detailed information about the DM37xx pins (ball characteristics) from the DM3730, DM3725 Digital Media Processors data sheet (SPRS685D) Tables 2-1, 2-2 and 2-3 for the all packages respectively CBP, CBC and CUS.
