Starting applications right after booting without the matrix being displayed

Hello,

I have an application on my AM335x EVM that I added to the matrix. Now I would like to run this application directly when plugging in the AM335x, without the matrix being displayed first, so I don't have to go in my directory, click on my application icon and click on run myself.

Is there any way to do that?

I would appreciate your help very much, as I am a complete newbie to programming for the AM335x. I'm glad I got that tutorial for adding the application right ;-)

Hi,

If I understand well you have to run application automatically when the Linux kernel is booting. If it is true, you have to add the name of the program in a script when the Linux is booting. One of this script is etc/rc5.d/S99rmnologin.sh

Thanks for your help, but can anybody explain it to me a bit more specific? Like I said I am kind of new to this...I have a sh. Skript for my application , that just says "cmd /home/root/app && ./application" Do I have to copy that to the script etc/rc5.d/S99rmnologin.sh?

Would appreciate any help!

Also google for more info in the linux's init.d directory. This is what you will be needing if you want to control what happens after the boot.
